WiFi Status Monitoring
The RV Whisper WiFi Status sensor was added in Version 4.826 of the RV Whisper Monitor Station Software in May, 2026. This sensor is built in to the RV Whisper Monitor Station (RVM1, RVM2 and RVM3) so there is nothing else to buy to enable it. The WiFi Status of the Monitor Station is automatically logged every 10 minutes after updating to Version 4.826 or higher. The logged data includes:
- WiFi Connected. Is the Monitor Station (RVM1, RVM2, RVM3) connected to a WiFi network?
- Internet Status. Does the WiFi network have a working internet connection?
- VPN Status. Is the VPN connection to the RV Whisper Gateway Cloud Server Up and working?
- Last Updated. Date and Time when the most recent data was logged.
To enable the display of the logged WiFi Status data, users only need to use the “Add Sensor -> WiFi Status” and follow the displayed instructions.
After the WiFi Status sensor is “Added” to your system, the data is displayed as seen in the screenshot below. This can help with understanding the reliability of your RV WiFi internet connection over time. If you “Remove” the WiFi Status sensor, the data is still collected and if it is Added as a Sensor again, the data is still available.
